A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY...

Paris Saint-Germain v. Bordeaux is a classic for Les Rouge et Bleu: the club from the capital has played more matches against Les Girondins (109 matches) than any other club, ahead of Monaco (107 matches), Lyon (104 matches) and Marseille (101 matches).

It was in fact against Les Girondins that Les Parisiens took home their first ever top-flight point on 15 August 1971. The match ended in a goalless draw (0-0).

Bordeaux are also the side to have played the most number of matches against Les Parisiens at the Parc des Princes, with 54 matches to their name, ahead of Nantes (51) Marseille and Monaco (50).

History favours the club from the capital, with 45 wins, 25 draws and 39 defeats. Paris Saint-Germain, who are on a 14-match unbeaten run against Bordeaux (10 wins and 4 draws), have turned their form on its head since their last defeat at the hands of Les Girondins on 15 March 2015 (2-3 defeat at the Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas).

Les Parisiens are also unbeaten in their last 11 matches at the Parc des Princes against Bordeaux (7 wins, 4 draws).  Paris Saint-Germain haven't been beaten in the capital since 28 October 2010  (2-1 win for Bordeaux in the league).

Paris Saint-Germain's top scorer against Bordeaux is Edinson Cavani, with 11 goals to his name. He sits ahead of Neymar and Pedro Miguel Pauleta (7 goals), Mustapha Dahleb and Dominique Rocheteau (5 goals).

Only one Rouge et Bleu match has been postponed at the Parc des Princes in the club's history, and it was against Bordeaux. On 23 July 1988, Paris was hit by torrential rain and the match was postponed to a later date.

THE STAKES...

Back to league action for a real first for Les Parisiens: a 1pm kick-off with supporters present at the Parc des Princes, after the win behind closed doors against Saint-Etienne (3-2) last season on 18 April 2021.

Paris Saint-Germain are also the only team in Ligue 1 to remain unbeaten at home this season (12 wins and one draw). Les Parisiens have gone the full season unbeaten in the league at the Parc des Princes on five occasions: during the 1985-1986, 1993-1994, 2014-2015, 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 seasons.

The keys to the match...

Paris Saint Germain will be able to rely on Kylian Mbappé, who has scored six goals at the Parc des Princes in his last five matches in Rouge et Bleu. The French forward has already scored 13 goals at home in competitive matches this season, including three braces.
