All you need to know about about Paris-Nice!

History, what's at stake and keys to the match! Find out everything you need to know before the kick-off of the Ligue 1 Round 16 match between Paris Saint-Germain and Nice, at the Parc des Princes at 21:00 this Wednesday, December 1.

A LITTLE HISTORY...

This is the 76th official meeting between the two teams, and the Parisians have the historical advantage with 32 wins, 21 draws and 22 defeats.

Paris Saint-Germain are on a seven-match unbeaten streak (six wins and one draw) against Nice since a 1-3 defeat on 30 April 2017, and have not been beaten by OGCN at the Parc des Princes since 7 November 2009 (0-1 in the league) - a run of 10 matches without defeat (seven wins and three draws).

It was during a Paris Saint-Germain-Nice match that the Parc des Princes experienced its only lighting failure, back on 18 January 1986. For 15 minutes, half of the floodlights went out, but the referee decided to continue the match in semi-darkness... The capital club ended up winning 3-2, a few minutes before the lights came back on!

Nice are the only team to have won three times at the Parc des Princes by at least three goals: on 1 October 1977 (3-0, D1), 28 February 1987 (3-0, D1) and 30 April 1988 (4-0, D1, the Parisians' biggest-ever home league defeat).

Marcin Bulka, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to Nice this season, has yet to play an official match for Les Aiglons.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is Paris Saint-Germain's top scorer against Nice in official matches, with 11 goals. The Swede is ahead of Edinson Cavani and François M'Pelé (both six goals) and Patrice Loko (five).

THE STAKES...

Paris Saint-Germain, runaway league leaders, will be keen to continue their fine run at home.The capital club have won 11 times in official matches since losing to Manchester City (1-2, 28/04/2021), but also have won ten times in a row at the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1 since losing to Lille (0-1), on 3 April this year.

Kylian Mbappé, who has scored 98 times with Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, could reach the symbolic milestone of 100 goals and join Edinson Cavani (138 goals) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (113 goals) as the only players to have reached this milestone in the red and blue shirt.

THE KEYS TO THE MATCH...

Matches between Paris and Nice at the Parc des Princes are often rich in goals, with an incredible average of 2.94 goals scored per game between the two teams (106 goals in 36 matches). On 24 occasions (65%), the Parc's spectators have seen at least three goals scored when this fixture has been played in official competition.

Paris's goalscorers enjoy facing Nice, and are currently on a run of 17 games with at least one goal. That run dates back to the 0-0 draw in Nice on 12 February 2012, since which Paris have scored a total of 118 goals in official matches against the Aiglons.
