A special 200th for Kylian?

Kylian Mbappé could go down in Paris Saint-Germain's history by playing in his 200th competitive match for the Rouge et Bleu on Monday evening against Nice, in a competition that the Parisian striker is particularly fond of: the Coupe de France.

When he made his debut for Paris on 7 January 2018 in Rennes in the round of 64 of the competition (6-1 for the Rouge et Bleu), Mbappé made his mark: 2 goals scored and two assists in his debut in Brittany.

A three-time winner of the trophy (2018, 2020 and 2021), the Parisian number 7 has played 19 matches before the match against Les Aiglons, having scored 22 goals and provided 8 assists, a record in the club's history.

Not always a starter (Villefranche in 2019, Caen in 2021), and injured against Marseille at the Parc des Princes in 2018 or in the game against Saint-Etienne after only 31 minutes of play in the 2020 final, Mbappé has played a total of 1535 minutes in the Coupe de France, being decisive every 51 minutes since his arrival in the Capital.

Kylian Mbappé scored three times in the last match in Vannes (4-0) on 3 January, the second time in his career that he has scored a hat-trick for Paris, following the 5-1 victory at Lyon in the semi-final of the 2019-2020 edition.

Nobody has been more effective for Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France: François M'Pelé, who scored 28 goals in the competition between 1973 and 1980, needed 31 games to reach that total.

Neither Zlatan Ibrahimovic (21 goals in 22 games), Pedro Miguel Pauleta (16 goals in 18 games) nor Edinson Cavani (16 goals in 25 games) have such a record in the Coupe de France.

It's a good reason for the Rouge et Bleu striker, who wants to make history with Paris Saint-Germain and in football in general, to continue this fine run with the club from the capital against Nice tomorrow evening at the Parc des Princes.

Kylian Mbappé's record in the Coupe de France:

2017-2018, 5 matches (Rennes, Sochaux, Marseille, Caen, Les Herbiers) with 4 goals and 3 assists
2018-2019, 4 matches (Pontivy, Villefranche, Nantes, Rennes) with 2 goals and 3 assists
2019-2020, 3 matches (Dijon, Lyon, Saint-Etienne) with 4 goals and 1 assist
2020-2021, 5 matches (Caen, Brest, Lille, Montpellier, Monaco) with 7 goals and 1 assist
2021-2022, 2 matches (Feignies Aulnoye, Vannes) with 5 goals
