Zoumana Camara guest of honour against Montpellier

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender (224 matches and 7 goals across all competitions) between 2007 and 2015, was invited to attend Matchday 11 of Ligue 1, with Les Parisiens winning the encounter 3-0 on Friday 3 November at the Parc des Princes.

The opportunity for the club from the capital's current U19s coach to take part in the Kick Off show, before taking his seat to watch Les Parisiens against Les Montpelliérains. As a reminder, the France international took home 3 Ligue 1 titles (2013, 2014, 2015), 3 Coupes de la Ligue (2008, 2014, 2015), 2 Coupes de France (2010, 2015) and 1 Trophée des Champions (2014) in Paris Saint-Germain colours, before bringing his playing career to a close after eight seasons in Paris.

But it was, of course,  in Paris that 'Papus' began his career transition since he spent over five seasons as an assistant coach for the first team between 2015 and January 2021, before being appointed as the Sporting Coordinator of the Rouge et Bleu's youth academy. He then became the head coach of the U19 team at the start of the 2021-2022 season.

Zoumana Camara wasn't alone on the guest list tonight, as former Paris Saint-Germain players Javier Pastore, Mathieu Bodmer and Alain Roche were also invited by the club to attend the match.
