U19 let it slip against Real Madrid

The Paris Saint-Germain U19 side went down 2-1 at home to Real Madrid at the Stade George Lefèvre on Wednesday afternoon.

Four days after their 1-0 win over Evreux in the league, the Paris Saint-Germain U19 were back in action in the UEFA Youth League. Against Real Madrid, the home side struggled to create opportunities, before Adil Aouchiche had the first chance of the match in the 25th minute.

After a period of sustained pressure from the visitors, it was Paris that opened the scoring when Xavi Simons took full advantage of a goalkeeping mistake to score (1-0, 43').

However, almost immediately after the restart Paris conceded two quick goal through Jordi (1-1, 49') and then Gonzalez (1-2, 50'). Ten minutes later, Kalimuendo hit the post before Aouchiche saw his follow up saved on the line.

In the final stages, Mbe Soh failed to hit the target before Aouchiche saw his effort flash just wide.

The next game for the U19 is versus Galatasaray in Istanbul on 1 October.
