Tribute to Pele at the Parc des Princes

The Parc des Princes paid tribute to the memory of the late Pele before the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Angers on Wednesday 11 January on match day 18 of Ligue 1.

Not long after the death of Pele, which moved the entire football world and more, Paris Saint-Germain paid tribute to the king. As they entered the pitch for warm-up, the players wore white T-shirts bearing a portrait of the man with three World Cups and the words "Eterno Rei".

It will be remembered that the Brazilian No.10 played on the Parc des Princes pitch on his farewell tour of Europe in the New York Cosmos shirt. On 14 September 1976, the Parisian crowd only had eyes for the number 10 of the American club, which he was very touched by.

After the traditional pre-match ceremony, the Parisian and Angevin players as well as the entire Parc des Princes held a minute's applause in memory of the man that the football world will never forget.

Paris Saint-Germain offers its sincere condolences to the family, relatives and many friends of the Brazilian.
