The Academy during Qatar National Sports Day!

A busy day in Qatar ! Paris Saint-Germain Academy delivered various activities during Qatar National Sports Day and the Academy Girls team secured the 1st place in the Qatar Foundation Tournament.

This Year, Qatar’s number 1 sports academy celebrated National Sports Day with a range of fun activities in collaboration with College the North Atlantic (CNA-Q) and Education City, a one-of-a-kind area in Qatar hosting several universities.

Paris Saint-Germain Academy Qatar covered Live Football and Fitness sessions on CNA-Q’s YouTube channel along with skill building Football and Handball activities at Green Spine Education City.

In addition, for the first time, the “Women & Girls Football” Initiative was launched in partnership with Generation Amazing, a program under Qatar’s Supreme Committee. Its aim is to promote sporting inclusivity and contribute a legacy for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Paris Saint-Germain Academy Qatar girls’ team were victorious in the final match of the Qatar Foundation Tournament, with Golden Ball awarded to Noof Al Kuwari. Noof was also awarded the tournament’s most valuable player and has been a key figure for Paris Saint-Germain Academy since 2019.

We are extremely proud of our girls’ team. Their dedication to the game is one of a kind, and our coaching staff is amazed at their progress. We hope to involve them in many more tournaments to come” said Cyril Klosek, Paris Saint-Germain Academy Qatar Technical Director.

Former Paris Saint-Germain Icon, David Beckham, awarded the girls at Education City Stadium, which will be one of the stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The purpose of the initiative intends to provide more opportunities for girls and women to play football across the state of Qatar.
