PSG For Communities at the 'Football is More' tournament!

Young players from the "Onze de Légende" programme by PSG For Communities participated in the 'Football is More' tournament, organised from 8 to 11 August in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

The Helvetia International Cup - Football for Inclusion brings together young people with and without disabilities for several tournaments.

These include an international tournament for young people with mental and/or physical disabilities, an amputee football tournament, a regional junior and women's football tournament with a special team from a crisis region, an inclusive tournament open to all football enthusiasts, regardless of age or disability; as well as an international U17s tournament in which our young Parisian players were able to participate.

PSG For Communities actively participated in the Special European Cup with its adapted football team. The Special European Cup is a football tournament dedicated to young people with mental and/or physical disabilities, designed to promote inclusion and social participation through sport.

The event highlights teams of young people with disabilities from the region, Switzerland and Europe, offering them the opportunity to participate in inclusive sports competitions. The main goal is to share the joy of sport while ensuring barrier-free access, in order to promote participation and equal opportunities for all players.

This tournament follows PSG For Communities' participation in promoting inclusion in sports at an event organised in Switzerland in July. In Düdingen, a two-day training session allowed about thirty sports instructors to become more aware of the realities faced by people with disabilities through simulations and practical exercises. This initiative strengthened their ability to adapt sports activities to make them more inclusive.
