PSG For Communities and KLABU brighten children's lives in Ukhia

In Ukhia, Bangladesh, thousands of children can now use facilities and equipment to enjoy days filled with sport and joy thanks to the support of PSG For Communities and KLABU.

Five days per week, children aged between six and 18 go to the games and sports club created by PSG For Communities and social start-up KLABU in Ukhia, Bangladesh.

With football, badminton and basketball just some of the sports on offer within a vibrant, playground-like environment that is decked out in the colours of Paris Saint-Germain, the kids can play, learn and have a good time, be it on the pitch, on the dancefloor or quite simply by watching a game of football.

The sports club functions like a library where the children can borrow Paris Saint-Germain/KLABU–themed kits as well as equipment for various sports (football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, etc.). Training sessions and tournaments are organised there, while the venue also shows matches.

Almost 1,000,000 Rohingya, who belong to a stateless Muslim minority, have been driven out of Myanmar by successive waves of violence since the early 1990s.

Paris Saint-Germain stands out as the world's first sports club to have opened this kind of infrastructure within a refugee camp. The centre in Ukhia has been open since July 2022.
