Pedro Miguel Pauleta honoured at the Parc des Princes

Former Paris Saint-Germain striker Pedro Miguel Pauleta (109 goals in 211 official matches between 2003 and 2008) attended the Ligue 1 Round 32 match and saw the capital club clinch a 2-1 win over Marseille at the Parc des Princes on Sunday, 17 April.

The Portuguese international (88 caps, 47 goals) had an opportunity to greet his former Parisian teammate Jérémy Clément (192 matches and six goals between January 2007 and July 2011) during his autograph session at the Megastore; to participate in the pre-game live; to give the honorary match kick-off with PSG Women striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto; and to receive a trophy souvenir of his passage in Rouge et Bleu from the hands of club President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. All this was capped with a nice ovation from the Parisian supporters before the Eagle of Azores took his place to watch the match alongside other former Paris Saint-Germain players.

"It was a beautiful victory, important and difficult to obtain," said the man who won the Coupe de France in 2004 and 2006 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 2008 with Paris when speaking to PSG TV. "Both teams played a good game. It's always a special match, different from the others, and it's important to have got these three points that take Paris closer to the title."
