Paris Saint-Germain, Qatar Airways and MatchWornShirt are mobilizing for Pink October
For the third consecutive season, Paris Saint-Germain, alongside Qatar Airways, renews its commitment to the Pink October campaign. This year, the Club also benefits from the support of MatchWornShirt to strengthen this initiative. This mobilization reflects the involvement of the Club, its athletes, and its partners in promoting prevention, raising awareness, and fundraising to combat breast cancer.
Since 2021, the Paris Saint-Germain women's team and Qatar Airways have demonstrated their unwavering commitment by joining forces every October to actively support the Pink October campaign. This year, the initiative is expanding with the involvement of the men's team, the creation of a dedicated jersey, an auction of match-worn jerseys, and the special customization of the kits.
A Dedicated Jersey
During the matches against Rennes on September 27 for the men’s team and against Guingamp on September 29 for the women’s team, the players of Paris Saint-Germain will proudly wear the new Third jersey, which will be specially adorned with a pink ribbon for this occasion. The jerseys worn during the match against Rennes will then be auctioned on the MatchWornShirt website until October 5.
All funds raised will be allocated to support a therapeutic education project for breast cancer patients who have undergone surgery and are being treated by the AP-HP Sorbonne University hospital group, which includes Trousseau, Saint-Antoine, La Pitié Salpêtrière, and Tenon hospitals. The therapeutic education program aims to guide patients throughout their care journey by providing information about their illness, personalized psychosocial support, and practical advice to improve their quality of life on a daily basis.
Jersey customization to support the initiative
In parallel, a special customization operation, both in-store and online on store.psg.fr, will allow supporters to have a pink ribbon printed on their jerseys in support of breast cancer research. This initiative, aimed at raising awareness of a disease that affects one in eight women, will be available from September 27 to October 31.
Nicola IBBETSON, Sponsorship Director of Paris Saint-Germain: “Paris Saint-Germain is proud to once again commit to the fight against breast cancer, a cause that is particularly close to our hearts. We sincerely thank our partner Qatar Airways for their unwavering support, as well as MatchWornShirt for their commitment alongside us.
