Paris Saint-Germain makes its foray into museums with a PSG VR Arcade in Doha

Just a few days before the opening ceremony of the football World Cup, Paris-Saint-Germain came to the 3-2-1 Museum in Doha to share its unique 'Made in PSG' experience with the museum's many visitors. A 55m2 exhibition space inside the museum now houses various virtual reality attractions centred around Paris and the Rouge & Bleu.

Following on from its successful run in the Parc des Princes Megastore, this new VR Arcade is at the cutting edge of immersive technologies and has been expanded especially for the occasion. The latest virtual reality headsets, HP Reverb, will take visitors on a voyage into the Paris Saint-Germain universe.

The Birdly flight simulator will allow visitors to take off on a virtual flight around the French capital's iconic landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Parc des Princes. The club's home stadium becomes a launching pad to soar higher into the Parisian sky.

A final attraction invites dare-devils to take part in a rowing race along the Seine against some of Paris Saint-Germain's biggest stars. A combination of sport and fun, this race is also an opportunity to admire the Paris cityscape, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, taking in the Louvre and the Grand Palais.

Fabien Dilem, General Manager at Paris Saint-Germain's Regional Office MEA & India, announced, "We are immensely proud to see Paris Saint-Germain feature in this museum dedicated to sport. The club always tries to innovate in order to offer even more immersive and interactive experiences to the new generation. Boosted by the success of the VR Arcade in the Parc des Princes Megastore, we were able to enrich the attractions for the Qatar Sports Museum. During the World Cup, all museum visitors will be able to enjoy this Paris Saint-Germain experience."

Abdulla Yousuf Al Mulla, Directeur of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, added: "Sport is an art, so of course it can have its own museum. We are delighted to welcome Paris Saint-Germain in amongst our collections. Thanks to this new virtual reality experience, we will treat all of the visitors expected during the World Cup to a fantastic moment of sport! They will be fully immersed in the art of football with Paris Saint-Germain."
