Paris Saint-Germain at the forefront of voice assistants

In its determination to invest in all the latest technologies and offer the best possible experience to its fans, Paris Saint-Germain is today launching its very own app on Google Assistant. It’s one of the first football club in the world to engage with this new media.

Ok Google, speak with Paris Saint-Germain

In using Google Assistant, Paris Saint-G supporters can listen to the club’s players talking about their World Cup memories and their ties to their national teams, and also take part in a quiz for all the family.

“Since the arrival of QSI in 2011, innovation has been part of Paris Saint-Germain’s DNA,” said Russell Stopford, Chief Digital Officer Paris Saint-Germain. “The club has become a leading partner for the giants of the internet. Together we are exploring new areas with a view to offering our supporters an even more enjoyable and interactive experience, whether they’re at the stadium, out and about, on social media or sitting at home.”

In a few short years, Paris Saint-Germain has become a champion of the digital world. The club has totally revamped its customer experience, and in a very short space of time has built one of the world’s largest communities of sports fans on social media, where it offers rich and innovative content on a daily basis to more than 60 million supporters. In 2015, it became the first football club to lay on a virtual tour of its stadium with Google Cardboard, one of the first to venture on to Snapchat, and a pioneering presence on Instagram thanks to a ground-breaking influencers programme on matchdays.

In 2016, it launched a stadium app that offers a host of new opportunities to fans at the Parc des Princes, and also became the first club to stream all its press conferences live across all its digital platforms. And this season, it launched the “ONE App” project, which enables its fans to immerse themselves in the Paris Saint-Germain experience through a single app (news, social, video, second screen, gaming and stadium app).
