Our technical director visits Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA

With the aim of these annual visits being to share the club's training methodology and values with every PSG Academy coach, during his stay, Houri attended the third edition of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy North America Cup – which took place from 13th to 15th January in Fort Lauderdale, Florida – as well as visiting the club's academies in Houston, Texas, and in Phoenix, Arizona, in order to meet their coaches and to take a look around the facilities used by their young players.

Houri: "It was an absolute pleasure to spend two weeks in the United States. The Academy's coaches are doing a very good job of applying our training methodology, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the infrastructure and by the level of professionalism shown by the local coaching staff, who are allowing talented young Americans to blossom both on and off the pitch."

THE PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN ACADEMY NORTH AMERICA CUP

Every year since 2022, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy North America Cup has brought together teams from all of the club's North American academy centres for three days of competition in Fort Lauderdale.

Our technical director was very pleased with how the tournament's third edition went: "The Paris Saint-Germain Academy North America Cup was organised in the best possible conditions to allow the players to improve and to have fun. This event has strengthened not only the competitive spirit between our various academies in the country but also these children's attachment to our club."

THE ACADEMY'S IMPRESSIVE DEVELOPMENT

Paris Saint-Germain Academy has operated in the United States since 2016 and now boasts a total of 2,500 players and more than 150 coaches at centres across eight cities in North America (Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, Miami, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Orlando and Vancouver). At each of these centres, young players train throughout the year under the supervision of coaches specifically developed with the club's training methods in mind. Thanks to the quality of its player development and of its infrastructure, Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA has established itself as a leading representative of the PSG Academy international network.
