Bernard Mendy honoured

Former Paris Saint-Germain right-back (247 matches and 11 goals in all competitions between 2000 and 2008) was the club's special guest for the Coupe de France Rd-16 clash against Stade Brestois 29, at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.

Bernard took part in the pre-match show Kick Off before taking his place in the stands to watch Paris' 3-1 win. The former France international (3 caps in 2004) won two Coupe de France (2004 and 2006), one Coupe de la Ligue (2008) as well as the UEFA Intertoto Cup (2001) with Paris Saint-Germain.

After retiring, Bernard rejoined the club from the capital in December 2017 as assistant coach to the women's team, a position he held until the end of the 2021-22 season. He is now the head of recruitment for the club's women's section.
