An attacking masterclass from the U17s

Paris Saint-Germain's U17 team beat their Tours FC counterparts 9-1 this afternoon on Matchday 16 of the Championnat National U17.

THE LINE-UP

Dosso – N. El Hannach, Delest, Lopes, Cordier – Et. Michut (Mayulu, 74'), Diawara (c), Et. Mbappé – Etonde, Housni (Konte, 80'), Mukelenge (Mendy, 62').

THE STORY OF THE GAME

Les Titis were caught off guard early on when they conceded a fourth-minute opener from Riad El Assali, but they weren't disheartened and managed to react when striker Ilyes Housni equalised in the 24th minute.

With the game having been more or less even so far, Tours were reduced to ten men after Lorick Nana's 33rd-minute sending-off. Les Rouge et Bleu managed to make the most of the numerical advantage to double their lead through Ethan Mbappé in the 37th minute.

After the half-time interval, Stéphane Moreau's side moved up a gear and quite literally suffocated their opponents, as demonstrated by Housni, who found the back of the net three times in just over ten minutes (46', 55' and 58').

The visitors then lost another player when Lucas De Amorim was sent off in the 61st minute.

Right winger Romaric Etonde took advantage of the extra space to bag himself a brace (63', 78') before substitutes Tony Mendy (80') and Senny Mayulu (87') also got in on the act.

Les Titis' comprehensive win keeps them at the top of the table with a nine-point lead over Paris FC.

THE NEXT MATCH

Stéphane Moreau's players will travel to face Brétigny on Matchday 17 on Sunday 13th February at 14:30 CET.
