Women's team make it five-from-five

With a 2-0 win at neighbours Fleury on Saturday, the Paris Saint-Germain women's team extended their 100% start to the season.

The Rouge-et-Bleu wasted no time in taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Kadidiatou Diani raced down the right and provided the perfect cross for Sara Däbritz, who sidefooted cleanly home (1-0, 4'). They didn't stop there: Paulina Düdek hit a post with a header, and Sandy Baltimore tested the home goalkeeper, Laeticia Philippe, with a spectacular volley.

Just before the break, the Parisians doubled their advantage: Baltimore this time the provider for Diani (2-0, 43').

The visitors created a number of opportunities after the break, notably with 20 minutes left when Däbritz released Marie-Antoinette Katoto down the right and then raced into the box to meet the cross, sending her shot off the crossbar.

The three points mean the Parisians remain joint-league leaders with Lyon, and will head to Iceland for their UEFA Women's Champions League Last 16 first leg with Breidablik in four days' time in buoyant mood.
