What a start!

Paris Saint-Germain made a stunning start to the Women's Division 1 season with a 7-0 triumph over Soyaux, at the Stade Jean Bouin on Sunday.

Les Rouge et Bleu made the perfect start to the 2019-20 season, opening the scoring after just 47 seconds! Summer signing Däbritz found Katoto to her right and last season's top scorer fired home beyond Munich (1-0, 1'). Set up by Nadim, Katoto then netted the second just after the half hour (2-0, 33'). Moments later, Geyoro played in Glas who blasted into the top corner (3-0, 35').

And Olivier Echouafni's side maintained the rhythm after the break. From a Diallo's corner, Huitema's shot was deflected home by Diani (4-0, 51'). Ten minutes later, Geyoro won back possession and added goal number five (5-0, 61'). From a free-kick that hit the Soyaux wall, Nadim volleyed home another (6-0, 66'). The Denmark international then set up Däbritz to complete the scoring (7-0, 72').

The seventh goal meaning that Paris move top of the standings above Lyon, who beat Marseille 6-0 on Saturday. Les Parisiennes now travel to Metz in Week 2 Metz, on Saturday 7 September at 16:30 CET at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.
