We win the derby!

In their second league game of the season, Paris Saint-Germain's Women's team claimed an emphatic 5-1 win over capital rivals Paris FC at the Stade Jean Bouin on Sunday.

After beating Fleury 1-0 two weeks ago to open the league campaign with three points, Olivier Echouafni's players were seeking to make it two-from-two at home to their neighbours in Sunday's capital derby at the Stade Jean Bouin.

It did not take long for the Rouge-et-Bleu machine to ease into gear with Katoto seeing her effort turned aside by Benamur inside just four minutes. Shortly afterwards, the young Paris forward saw a point-blank header beaten out (8') but Katoto then took advantage of a poor clearance by the visiting goalkeeper to open the scoring (1-0, 14').

Before the break, Wang Shuang ensured she made a significant mark on her debut - the Chinese summer arrival sending a long-range effort crashing into the net to double the hosts' lead (2-0, 39'). After the break, Geyoro made it three from Morroni's cross (3-0, 50') before Diani's deflected shot found its way beyond Benamur (4-0, 60') and Perisset added number five from the penalty spot (5-0, 66'). Her own-goal gave the visitors some cheer (5-1, 79e), but the Parisians eased home to stand on a maximum six points after two league matches.

Next up, Wednesday's trip to Austria to face St. Pölten in the first leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League Last 32 tie.
