Wang Shuang can't wait to face Chelsea

You joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer. How have you adapted to our new surroundings?

Well, I am getting more used to Parisian life. I came to Paris Saint-Germain because the club has a great reputation in China. I've found that training is more intense here. It makes a big difference, I feel stronger than before.

Are you looking forward to playing in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea?

Of course! We can't wait to face Chelsea. Since the match against Lyon in the Coupe de France, we have been working tactically ahead of the game to improve. I have never played against an English team, but I heard that their game is physical. We have to stay focussed against Chelsea.

How do you feel when you return to China to play for your country?

I always feel very happy. This is the first time that I've left the national team that long. I feel so excited when I go back to the Chinese National Team, and I feel so proud that I can play for my country.

The 2019 Women's World Cup will take place in France this summer, are you excited?

Yes, of course. I have been here for eight months, so France and Paris Saint-Germain are now part of my life. I feel like the host of the World Cup!

Do you think you'll play a leading role in the competition?

Football is a sport that needs the team work of 23 players. The most important thing is that each player contributes and performs to the best of their ability.
