Karchaoui and Katoto send France to the Euros!
The France Women’s team including Paris Saint-Germain’s Elisa De Almeida, Griedge Mbock, Sakina Karchaoui, Thiniba Samoura, Grace Geyoro and Marie Antoinette Katoto beat their Swedish counterparts 2-1 on Friday 12 July in the Stade Gaston Gérard in Dijon, in the Women's European Qualifiers.
Sakina Karchaoui was found by Grace Geyoro and opened the scoring with a magnificent strike from 25 metres out. In securing the victory for her side, Marie-Antoinette Katoto made it into the top 10 goalscorers in the history of the French Women’s team, with her 30th goal in Blue.
The win ensures the Bleues will finish in either first or second in Group 3, and in doing so, secures their place at UEFA Women's Euro Switzerland 2025, which will take place from 2-27 July in Switzerland.
