Victory and qualification for Paris

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Breidablik 3–1 at the Stade Jean Bouin on Thursday to book their place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, 7-1 on aggregate.

After a 4-0 win in the first leg in Iceland, Les Parisiennes made the perfect start and killed off any thoughts of an upset when Perle Morroni crossed for Karina Saevik to set up Jordyn Huitema from close range (1-0, 6').

Olivier Echouafni's side created a number of good chances to score a second goal, but just before half-time they conceded their first goal of the UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign when Berglind Thorvaldsdóttir fired past Katarzyna Kiedrzynek in the home side's goal (1-1, 45'+1).

Paris continued to dominate and Huitema got her second of the night and a second UEFA Women’s Champions League brace, from Annahita Zamanian's assist (2-1, 78'), before Kadidiatou Diani cemented the win in stoppage time (3-1, 90+2').

The win sees Paris into the quarter-finals. Their future opponent will be know at the draw on Friday 8 November in Nyon.
