USA end France hopes
The FIFA Women's World Cup hosts were knocked out at the quarter-final stage as the reigning champions progressed to the last four.
At the Parc des Princes, Kadidiatou Diani played the full 90 minutes as France chased the game after conceding twice to Megan Rapinoe goals. The other Parisians, Ève Périsset et Grace Geyoro, did not come off the bench. Former Rouge-et-Bleu players, Tobin Heath and Lindsey Horan, both featured for the victors.
The USA now play England in the semi-finals.
