The Women's team win friendly with Sherman Guity in attendance
The Paris Saint-Germain Women's team won 11-0 in a friendly match on Sunday 8 September 2024 at the PSG Campus in Poissy, watched by Sherman Guity, gold medallist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The result was only secondary. The Parisians wanted to continue their progress during pre-season, and it was against Quevilly-Rouen Métropole, a 3rd division club, that the Rouge et Bleue continued their upward trajectory.
It was an 11-0 win to keep the momentum going, with less than a week to go before the last warm-up match before the Arkema Premier League gets back underway. Les Parisiennes host Reims at 11am next Friday, again at the PSG Campus, before travelling to Montpellier on the weekend of 21 September for the first game of the league season.
The emphatic win over the D3 side was witnessed by a special guest. Sherman Guity, the 2024 Paralympic champion in the 100m and 200m, witnessed Paris' impressive performance on Saturday, as did former Parisian Nicolas Anelka, who was also present in the stands to watch the match.
The Costa Rican athlete even kicked off the second half.
