The women's team kick off pre-season

The women's team were back on the training pitch on Tuesday following a busy summer of women's football.

With a number of internationals having taken part in the FIFA Women's World Cup, it was a reduced squad that met up again at the training centre in Bougival.

Olivier Echouafni's squad underwent a number of tests as well as a series of exercises to start them on the road to full fitness for the season ahead. There were two new faces in the session, Arianna Criscione and Léa Khelifi, and the latter new arrival spoke to us about her first day in her new 'office': "I'm very happy to have joined Paris Saint-Germain and play alongside some great players. This first day has gone well. We did a lot of physical work, but you have to do that to be in shape for the start of the league."

They'll continue their build-up to the new campaign with a friendly against Orléans before a training camp in Vichy in early August. They'll then play in two tournaments - one in Toulouse, the other in Switzerland - where they will face Bayern Munich and AC Milan, among others.
