The women's team is in London

The women's team has arrived in the British capital ahead of Thursday's UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Chelsea.

The squad met up at Bougival for lunch at midday on Wednesday ahead of their charter flight bound for London. With just an hour's flight between the French and British capital, there was only a short time for cards, TV or reading before landing.

Upon arrival, the Rouge-et-Bleu headed for their hotel in Kingston in the south of London before getting their first look at the Kingsmeadow stadium where the squad had their final training session. Coach Olivier Echouafni underlined the importance of training on the pitch where they will face Chelsea on Thursday: "We needed to get our bearings, to get a feel for the place even if it'll be different with fans. It's always important to get your bearings the day before a game and see what state the pitch is in."

After an hour's work with the ball, it was back to the hotel for dinner and a well deserved rest to recharge the batteries ahead of the game.
