The Parisians win the Ile-de-France derby!

Paris Saint-Germain's women's team won 3-0 against Issy at La Cité des Sports on Saturday 4 December 2021 in matchday 10 of the Arkema D1.

Back from their respective selections in the middle of the week, our Parisian girls were back on the Arkema D1 pitch this Saturday with a very short trip to Issy-les-Moulineaux, for an all Ile de France match! For the game, Didier Ollé-Nicolle lined up Captain Geyoro in midfield alongside Léa Khelifi and Sara Dabritz. Stéphanie Labbé was in goal for the Parisians.

From the start, the Parisians showed their determination against a serious and solid Issy team. The first half hour of the game was even with chances for both sides. The first chance of the game came from Batcheba Louis who saw her shot go just wide of Labbé's goal, thanks to an excellent defensive return by Elisa De Almeida (13'). The Parisians then stepped up the pressure in the opposing area and created several chances through Marie-Antoinette Katoto (22', 32’), Grace Geyoro (24') and Léa Khelifi (33'). But our Rouge et Bleu did not manage to find the net before going to the dressing room.

Back on the pitch, everything was left to do for Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players. And they soon took control of the game. The first goal came from Léa Khelifi, who headed in a wonderful cross from Sandy Baltimore (1-0, 53'). Issy tried to hold strong but it wasn’t enough. Midfielder Khelifi then scored the second (2-0, 80'). This was the French international's fifth goal of the season in D1 Arkema and her second brace in two games.

The Parisians scored another in the last few seconds of the game thanks to a goal by Kadidiatou Diani from a corner perfectly taken by Sara Däbritz (3-0, 92'), which was enough to end this rainy evening in the most beautiful way.

Paris Saint-Germain have won again in D1 Arkema and remain second in the league behind Olympique Lyonnais. Didier Ollé-Nicolle's team will travel to the cold Ukrainian town of Kharkov for the fifth matchday of the UEFA Women's Champions League on Wednesday 8 December at 18:45.
