The Parisians held by Lille

Paris Saint-Germain's Women's team were held to a 1-1 draw by Lille at the Stade Georges Lefèvre in Saint-Germain-en-laye on Sunday in their fifth league game of the season.

Olivier Echouafni's side created the first opportunity of the game with Diallo's long-range shot (4'), but it was the visitors from the north of France who opened the scoring. From a corner, Boussaha fired acrobatically past Endler after a scramble in front of the Paris goal (0-1, 12'). Geyoro provided the Paris response with a volley that flew just wide (31') before Diani jinked down the right and cut the ball back for Wang Shuang, who shot past Launay with a measured left-foot effort (1-1, 34').

After the break, Wang twice went close to scoring again. First, a curling shot was deflected just wide (65') and then Launay brilliantly pushed away a free-kick (72') as Paris had to settle for a point before the international break. Paris next play at Metz on 13 October, and will learn who they play in the Last 16 of the UEFA Women's Champions League on Monday.
