The Parisians beat Kharkiv to continue perfect run

Already qualified for the knockout rounds before Matchday 5, the Parisians were nonetheless intent on maintaining their positive dynamic on Wednesday. Brilliant on the European scene since the beginning of the season, Les Rouge et Bleu did just that, notching a resounding 6-0 win in Ukraine.

They quickly took the lead, with Huytema opening the scoring after latching onto across from Baltimore, who had skinned her marker with aplomb. With an angled header, the Canadian gave her side an early advantage (0-1, 15'). Almost immediately, Ramona Bachmann doubled the lead, racing onto a deft cut-back to make the break (0-2, 21').

The Parisians increased their lead before the break when Baltimore prevailed one-on-one with the goalkeeper thanks to a superb final ball from Bachmann, whose pressing had forced a turnover in the middle of the park (0-3, 37'). The Swiss then turned scorer when she was picked out at the far post, curling the ball around the 'keeper (0-4, 40').

Then, in a flash of lightning in the polar cold, Laurina Fazer scored her first goal for Paris, a thundering shot that rocketed into the top corner of the Ukrainian goal (0-5, 44'). Amanda Ilestedt then scored the sixth goal of the evening, on the spot to nod home after she had stayed in the area the poor clearance of a corner by the Kharkiv defence (0-6, 54').

Although the evening was almost perfect, Estelle Cascarino did see red towards the end of the game (80'), but it without consequence on the scorecard and not enough to tarnish a victory that saw Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players continue their imperious campaign at full steam!
