Tara Elimbi Gilbert signs her first professional contract

Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce that Tara Elimbi Gilbert has signed her first professional contract with the club. The defender, who came through the capital club’s youth academy, has committed herself to Les Rouge et Bleu until 30th June 2027.

Elimbi Gilbert started playing football aged eight at the Académie de Football d’Épinay-sur-Seine, located in the French capital’s northern suburbs, before joining Paris Saint-Germain’s academy in 2020.

After plying her trade with the club’s U16s and U19s, the Paris player was given her first-team debut in a Coupe de France semi-final against Thonon Evian Grand Genève FC in March 2023. Since then, the 19-year-old has made a total of 13 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu across all competitions and won the 2023–2024 Coupe de France, her first trophy with the club.

The defender has also been capped 30 times across France’s U17, U18 and U19 teams, scoring four goals in the process. In July 2023, she took part in the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship alongside fellow Paris youngsters Thiniba Samoura and Fanny Rossi.

I’m really happy and proud to have signed my first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain. This is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to begin this new chapter of my career. I’ll do everything I can to represent the club in the best way possible on the pitch.
