Ramona Bachmann signs for Paris Saint-Germain

The club is delighted to announce that Switzerland international Ramona Bachmann has signed a contract with Paris Saint-German until 30 June 2022.

The Lucerne-born 29-year-old striker began her career at the age of 15 with FC Luzern Frauen before moving to Sweden in 2007. After two seasons with Umea IK winning two league titles and a Super Cup, she moved to play for Atlanta Beat in the US for several months before returning to Umea IK.

In the summer of 2011 Ramona signed for FC Rosengard where she won two further Swedish championships. In 2015 the attacker spent a season at Wolfsburg in Germany before signing for Chelsea in December 2016. During her time in West London the Swiss goalscorer made 47 appearances and scored seven goals for Chelsea, winning two Women’s Super Leagues in 2017 and 2019 and the 2018 Women’s FA Cup.

The striker has been a full Switzerland international since 2007 and has made 76 appearances to date, scoring 42 goals. In 2015, Ramona was part of the Swiss squad that played in their first ever Women’s World Cup in Canada, reaching the last 16 of the competition.
