PSG schedule in America

The Paris Saint-Germain Women's team landed in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday 15 August, to take part in the The Women’s Cup. This pre-season tournement will see the French champions take on Bayern Munich and then either RC Louisville or Chicago Red Star.

The Parisian women crossed the Atlantic for the second preseason tour of the United States in their history after the ICC in 2018.

The squad has been bolstered by the return of three players who won medals at the Tokyo Olympics. The two Canadian Olympic champions, Jordyn Huitema and Ashley Lawrence, as well as a new recruit, Swedish finalist Amanda Ilestedt, are part of the 24-woman Rouge et Bleu travelling party.

“We are very happy to be able to finish our preseason with this training camp in the United States and our participation in The Women's Cup,” said Ulrich Ramé, General Manager of the women's section. “This tournament will pit us against experienced and talented teams. This challenge will allow us to fine-tune our preseason before the start of the championship. We will take advantage of this stay to meet our supporters and to give the group the opportunity for team-bonding activities that will be beneficial during the season.”

The popularity of the Parisian Club in the United States has been growing for the past ten years. Following the tours of the men's and women's teams in recent years, numerous Rouge et Bleu fan clubs have been formed in several American cities and several hundred thousand Americans now follow the Club's news on social networks.

Last season, Paris Saint-Germain strengthened its presence on American soil by opening a permanent shop in Los Angeles, a first for a European club. At the same time, the Club continues to develop its network of football schools. The PSG Academy now welcomes children aged 4 to 17 in Miami, Houston, Los Angeles and Phoenix.
