Our Parisians claim derby bragging rights

Paris Saint-Germain saw off neighbours Paris FC 3-1 in Sunday's derby.

Having beaten their opponents comfortably earlier in the season (5-1), Olivier Echouafni's squad faced Paris FC again - 5th at kick-off - in Bondoufle for their Week 13 contest. Events started with a bang - following a poor clearance by the Rouge-et-Bleu, the home side went in front through Sallstrom (1-0, 6').

It didn't take long for Formiga and her teammates to respond. Ten minutes later, Diani latched onto Wang's free-kick, and touched it down for Dudek to beat Benameur to level things up (1-1, 15'). And the Parisians went in front before the break: Wang's corner found Diani, who found the net from close range (1-2, 40').

After the break, Diani struck again to seal the win after a lightning counter-attack (1-3, 70'). It allowed Paris to reinforce their hold on second place on 35 points, two behind leaders Lyon. Next up for the Parisians: a home game against Metz next Sunday.
