Echouafni: 'Calmly prepare the final'
Paris Saint-Germain coach Olivier Echouafni spoke to PSG TV ahead of Sunday's Coupe de France final against Lyon in Auxerre.
TEAM SPIRIT
"We are calmly preparing for the final and focusing on what will await us on Sunday. We feel we are ready and we had a good first match after lockdown in the semi-final. That holds us in good stead for the final."
OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS
"We need to build on the final two years ago because it shows that anything is possible in football. There will be 11 players for each team and at this level, it's the little details that decide results. Two years ago it was an excellent performance and we should be able to draw on that."
THE PREPARATION
"We needed to adapt our preparations because we still have two competitions to finish, while also preparing for the new season. In terms of preseason, we have had to adapt a lot. The aim was to work hard early, to have the energy, strength and speed to finish these two competitions. We adapted. We have been working for six weeks up until Sunday's final and then we will have another two weeks to prepare for the Champions League."
