Neck-and-neck

Women's top-flight frontrunners Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon played out a 1-1 draw in Sunday's heavyweight encounter at the Stade Jean Bouin.

A club record crowd of 8700 was at the Stade Jean Bouin on Sunday to see the game between the top-flight's top two.

The Paris fans had reason to find their voices first. Wang's pressure on Bouhaddi led the Lyon goalkeeper to lose her bearings and the ball, and after Wang had gone round the France international, she slotted home a left-foot shot (1-0, 15').

The French champions didn't take long to react as Wendy Renard headed home from close range (1-1, 19) to level the scores.

It was an intense encounter with the challenges flying in in midfield. Perisset chanced her arm with a shot that was stopped by Bouhaddi (62') and Kiedrzynek blocked Paredes' late opportunity to win it for the visitors (90+2'). The Paris goalkeeper's save keeps her team just two points behind the league leaders.
