Merci Miami and Portland!

The Paris Saint-Germain Women’s team enjoyed an incredible Summer Tour of the USA. From Portland to Miami, Les Parisiennes met with their fans, visited some spectacular places and prepared for the new season…

New coach Olivier Echouafni took his side first to Portland in Oregon for training at the University of Portland. It was a first chance for the girls to get moving again after the summer break and start playing football again! The team also had plenty of diverse activities to do including a photo shooting Hawthorne Bridge, while others visited the local Boys and Girls Club to share a good moment with local kids from underprivileged parts of the town, before heading to Nike world headquarters for lunch and an exceptional guided visit.

After a first friendly match against Manchester City, Les Parisiennes headed to Miami to take part in the inaugural ICC Women. The Florida camp began with a warm down on South Beach, and an incredible view of the Miami skyline. Several players headed to the Nicklaus Hospital to share a moment with the children battling illness. Another group of players headed to the PSG Academy Florida for a training session and autographs, while other had a photo shoot in Miami.

Finally, the team headed to the Webster, in Downtown Miami for the launch of the 2018-19 Paris Saint-Germain Women’s away kit, as well as a special collector jersey created by local artist ABSTRK.
Day Four in Miami saw the squad visit Marlins Park Stadium to meet a few of the players from Miami’s baseball team, and watch the match against the Washington Nationals.

While the results in the ICC did not match expectations, the Parisians enjoyed pre-season training in excellent conditions and took advantage of the team bonding that comes with a training camp with the aim of being ready for the start of the Women’s first division on 25 August against Fleury.
