Six-star Paris!

On Matchday 6 of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage, and in their final outing of 2021, the Paris Saint-Germain Women's team beat Breidablik 6-0 at the Stade Jean Bouin.

Everything has been wrapped up to perfection! Didier Ollé-Nicolle and his squad had made it clear: they didn't intend on taking the final match of the group stage lightly. A final outing of the calendar year, which they capped off in style in front of their own fans. A first present of the Christmas season.

It took Les Parisiennes just ten minutes to open the scoring. Huitema found Bachmann with a back-heel and the Swiss forward curled a beautiful effort into the back of the net from 25 metres out (1-0, 10'), to the delight of the supporters in the Stade Jean Bouin.

Already guaranteed first place in their group, Les Rouge et Bleu didn't want to stop there and continued to pile on the pressure. At the end of the first half, Ashley Lawrence received a ball from Geyoro on the right wing. The Canadian found her international teammate Jordyn Huitema who headed home from six metres, leaving the Icelandic goalkeeper with absolutely no chance (2-0, 44').

On the hour mark, Kadi Diani let the guns do the talking! After an impressive solo run, she held off two defenders before striking home with her right foot to make it three for the home side (3-0, 60'). Baltimore, barely 10 minutes later, was found at the back post, and made things even worse for the visitors with a smart strike (4-0, 69'). Luana then scored from the penalty spot at the end of normal time (5-0, 89'), putting smiles on the faces of all of the squad, both on the pitch and the bench!

Jordyn Huitema made it a brace in injury time and brought an excellent evening to a close for Les Parisiennes (6-0, 90+4'). A six-star group stage for Paris Saint-Germain, who go into the next round without conceding a single goal. Beautifully done!
