Mary Earps honoured by Madame Tussauds
The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper headed across the Channel to meet the waxwork of herself at the famous London museum.
The England international goalkeeper was chosen as the player to represent all the Lionesses in the museum following a public vote.
In Baker Street along with her family, friends and fans, the Parisian made history as the first female player to have her own waxwork.
"It's incredible to be the first female footballer to have their statue in Madame Tussauds London," she said. "It's a very special occasion and not only for me: it's a milestone for women's football and celebrates its new trajectory. It's an honour! I have enjoyed the reaction of my friends, family and fans when they saw the statue. They couldn't believe their eyes, me neither, to be honest. The details are so well done. My grandma really loved it and I'm so happy that she could share this moment with me. I've been working with the talented team at Madame Tussauds for a year now. I'm delighted the big day has finally arrived."
