Les Parisiennes win friendly against Le Havre

Paris Saint-Germain's women's team beat Le Havre AC 4-0 at PSG Campus in their third summer pre-season match. Here's a look back at the game.

Les Parisiennes' summer preparations are in full swing. With just a few days to go before their tour of Australia, the Rouge et Bleue took on Le Havre in a friendly match organised at PSG Campus. It was an opportunity for Fabrice Abriel to test his squad once again in preparation for the season. The Paris coach was able to welcome back a number of players, including Eva Gaetino, as well as Joe Echegini and Griedge Mbock, who both made their debuts for the club.

The match kicked off at 4pm in Poissy, with Les Parisiennes enjoying the lion's share of possession from the outset. The Rouge et Bleue looked dangerous on several occasions: an initial cross from Tara Elimbi Gilbert found Landryna Lushimba Bilombimais, but the academy players' shot was parried by the Le Havre goalkeeper. Romée Leuchter then tried her luck, but to no avail. The first half ended goalless at 0-0.

The second half was marked by the introduction of new signing Joe Echeghini, who was making her first appearance for Paris. The Nigerian showed the full extent of her talent when she set up Tara Elimbi Gilbert in the penalty area, but the young left-footer unfortunately missed her one-on-one (57').

Fabrice Abriel made a number of changes on the hour mark, including the introduction of Éva Gaetino, who was making her first start of the summer preparations. Les Parisiennes looked increasingly dangerous in the second half, with shots from Joe Echeghini and Thiniba Samoura. Romée Leuchter finally opened the scoring with a fine shot across goal (1-0, 72'). Moments later, the new Parisienne doubled her tally with a magnificent free-kick from 25 metres out (2-0, 79'). And Romée Leuchter was not done yet, as she followed up for her hat-trick following a cross from Thiniba Samoura (3-0, 81')! Initially with her back to goal to control the ball, the Dutch international quickly turned and found the back of the net. Three goals in all, demonstrating all the ability of Paris's new signing.

After the Leuchter show, it was the turn of another new signing to shine: Joe Echegini. Echegini scored her first goal for Paris Saint-Germain after receiving a pass from young Lina Mokthar Jamai, who was making her first start for the professional team (4-0, 88'). The match ended 4-0 in favour of Paris Saint-Germain. Fabrice Abriel's side have now completed their third successful warm-up match, and can now look forward to their summer tour of Australia with confidence.
