Les Parisiennes held to a draw in Le Havre

A few days after securing their ticket for the group stage of the UEFA Women's Champions League, the Paris Saint-Germain Women’s team drew at Le Havre on Matchday 4 of D1.

They needed to continue their good run in order to maintain the rhythm set by Les Lyonnaises, who had won their match on Saturday.

In Le Havre, Gérard Prêcheur’s side started as they needed to set themselves up in the best possible way. Diani opened the scoring from the penalty spot (0-1, 9’), her 6th goal since the start of the season in competitive matches. Paris were on the right track, and extended their lead through Bachmann in the 24th minute, after the home side failed to clear (0-2, 24’).

With the hardest part done, Les Rouge et Bleu were caught out, when Sumo found the back of the net (1-2, 39’) to get the side from Normandy back into the game.

It was then Gavory who really shocked Les Parisiennes, just before the hour mark with an incredible long-ranged effort that found the back of Bouhaddi’s goal (2-2, 52’)

The score remained as it was, despite Les Parisiennes trying everything they possibly could, but the outcome was less positive than in the previous matches. Les Lyonnaises now have a two point lead.
