Les Parisiennes continue their run!

Paris Saint-Germain's Women's team came out 2-0 winners over Saint-Étienne on Sunday 17 October at the Stade Georges Lefèvre in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, on Matchday 6 of D1.

Four days after their convincing victory over Kharkiv at the Stade Jean Bouin on Matchday 2 of the UEFA Women's Champions League Group Stage (5-0), Les Rouge et Bleu headed to the Yvelines on Sunday. On the cards for Les Parisiennes, the visit of Saint-Étienne, who sat in 10th in the league table. For the occasion, Didier Ollé-Nicolle continued his squad rotation with no less than five changes to his starting line-up from Wednesday evening.

Changes that had little consequence, given that the club from the capital quickly took control of the encounter. Sara Däbritz, who had received her Player of the Month trophy before kick-off, sent in a corner for Marie-Antoinette Katoto who connected with the ball but was denied by Emily Burns (6'). Les Vertes then went close through Kelly Gago (20') et Busie (31'), but neither managed to find the target. Involved in nearly everything for Les Parisiennes, Däbritz, was played in by Sandy Baltimore, but saw a last-ditch block prevent her from picking up the opener (37'). It was just a matter of time for the German though and she finally put her side in front when she found the back of the net from Kadidiatou Diani's pull-back (1-0, 43').

And Les Rouge et Bleu's number 13 had no intention of stopping there. From a free-kick, she crossed perfectly for Katoto, who headed into the back of the net (2-0, 66'). Seemingly unstoppable, Däbritz even hit the bar at the very end of the encounter (89'). The score remained as it was, Les Parisiennes secured the victory and continue their perfect start to the season, with a sixth win in as many matches in the league.

It's now time for another international break for Didier Ollé-Nicolle's side, who share the top spot with Lyon, who were 5-0 winners over Montpellier. Next up for Les Rouge et Bleu is a match at Dijon on Sunday 31 October at 12:45 at the Stade Gaston Gérard on Matchday 7 of D1.
