Korbin Albert's USA into the final four four, France eliminated

While the French women's team lost by the narrowest of margins to Brazil, Korbin Albert and the United States managed to get the better of Japan to reach the semi-finals of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 tournament.

GRIEDGE MBOCK HITS THE CROSS-BAR FOR FRANCE...

After finishing top of their group, France were beaten by a more clinical Brazil on Saturday evening. Paris Saint-Germain players Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Grace Geyoro, Sakina Karchaoui, Elisa De Almeida and Griedge Mbock all started the match. The latter could even have opened the scoring before the break, but her header crashed against the Brazilian crossbar.
