Korbin Albert: 'Playing at the Parc is special'
Paris Saint-Germain's American midfielder talks about her side's upcoming clash with Lyon at the Parc des Princes to round out the Arkema D1 Round 2 action.
KORBIN, HOW IS THE SQUAD APPROACHING THE SEASON AND ITS OBJECTIVES?
"We're thinking in the long term, making sure we can recover quickly and do everything we need to do to play our next matches as well as possible, full of energy. We have to take each step seriously, as real professionals, to ensure we have a great season."
IN THE LEAGUE, THIS WILL INVOLVE A NEW FORMAT, WITH PLAY-OFFS IN PARTICULAR...
"It's a format I'm familiar with because I played in championships with play-offs before coming here. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I like the new challenges that are offered to me, and I know that the whole team does too."
IS IT ALWAYS SPECIAL WHEN YOU PLAY HOST TO LYON AT THE PARC DES PRINCES?
"It's always something special. Playing in front of the fans, taking my first steps on that pitch... I've only trained there, I haven't played a match there yet. But the training alone was an incredible experience, the fans, all that energy, the togetherness... When you step out onto that pitch, it pushes you to go even further."
