Korbin Albert: "It's up to us to show our team's value"
With a few days to go until the first Trophée des Championnes of her career, Korbin Albert discussed Les Parisiennes’ official season-opener.
Korbin, HOW HAS PRE-SEASON BEEN?
"I think that we've prepared well, and we're all a lot closer to each other now. It's a great thing to be able to create bonds. I'm really happy with how things have gone so far, and I think that that will push us even further."
THE SEASON GETS UNDERWAY THIS SUNDAY WITH A FINAL AGAINST Lyon...
"I think that's important, and I believe that if we beat a rival as big as Lyon and do what we need to do out on the pitch, it'll be hugely important for the rest of the season. It'll give us the confidence to move forward and to step up to the occasions and to the teams that we'll be facing next."
HOW ARE YOU APPROACHING THIS GAME AGAINST LYON?
"It's a big game, and it's the first time that I'll be playing in this competition. I think that we need to go into it with the same competitive mindset [as in pre-season] and show who's the better team out on the pitch. It's a great match-up, and it's up to us to show our team's value."
WHAT KIND OF GAME CAN WE EXPECT ON SUNDAY?
"I don't know what'll happen, but if one thing's for sure, it's that it'll be a fight, a battle. We'll need to give everything out on the pitch, and I think that the team that scores first will win the game. It'll be tough. If we score the first goal, Lyon will push even harder, so it's important for us to stay solid and stay strong as a team."
