Jocelyn PrĂȘcheur: "Turn things around at home"

Coach of Paris Saint-Germain Women Jocelyn Prêcheur and midfielder Jackie Groenen spoke to PSG TV after Les Rouge et Bleu lost 3-2 to Olympique Lyonnais in the first leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final.

JOCELYN PrĂȘcheur

"Tonight we're feeling a lot of frustration. It's slightly bitter because we had the chance to kill the game off. Even at 2-0 up we could have increased the score and taken a real lead in the first leg. I think we lacked some juice in the last fifteen minutes. We didn't manage our emotions as well. We crumbled at a time when we needed to be even more solid. We were playing against Lyon on their turf, so we knew they wouldn't give up. We didn't have the solutions to bring a bit of freshness towards the end of the game. We're starting to feel the length of the season, so we're going to have to recover well. But tonight, we're going to focus on the positive things. We have what it takes to beat Olympique Lyonnais. We'll be going back to the Parc a goal down on aggregate, but we have the ability to turn things around at home. Our players will go into next Sunday's game with a winning spirit. It's not a bad result. It's how things played out that's extremely frustrating. We still need to grow and learn from this. We have the potential to turn things around. We're going to recover well and get ready for the game next Sunday."

Jackie groenen

"We're really disappointed with this defeat. We worked hard for 75 minutes. We missed the chance to score a third and maybe a fourth goal. Then we backed off too much and they took advantage of that space to play their game. We didn't react well but it's not over yet, we've got the return leg at home next week and we've shown that we can play against Lyon. We'll have to kill the game off when we get the chance. We're going to try to follow the boys' example and turn things around. I hope we win at the Parc des Princes in front of our fans. Nothing's over yet."
