Jocelyn PrĂȘcheur: "Emblematic of our season"
Paris Saint-Germain coach Jocelyn Prêcheur, along with Jade Le Guilly, Elisa De Almeida and Eva Gaetino, spoke to PSG TV after the Les Rouge et Bleu beat FC Fleury 91 1-0 in the Women's Coupe de France final.
JOCELYN PrĂȘcheur
"What an ending! It was a very complicated match, but I don't think we're going to focus too much on the performance tonight. I'd have preferred us to let loose a bit more and get into a better rhythm, but the reaction after the red card was fantastic. Once again, I'd say that it's emblematic of our season: when our backs are against the wall, when we're struggling, we often manage to pick ourselves up and the players were rewarded today. I'm really pleased for the whole squad."
Jade Le Guilly
"We've gone through a lot together! We've been shouting since the end of the match and we're not going to stop until tonight! It's the result of a lot of hard work this season. We're very happy to have won this match today and to have won the Coupe de France. It was very important. A final is decided in one match, so anything can happen. We were favourites, we played our part, we won 1-0 and that's the most important thing. With the elimination from the Women's Champions League, we were even more motivated to go out and win this title."
Elisa De Almeida
"It was tough, as we all know, but tough wins like that are the best. When we were down to ten players, everyone looked at each other and we knew we had to keep going. They played their hearts out, but we made the most of our chances. We still have a title to go after and we're going to get back to work, but for now we're going to celebrate quietly. It's good because we struggled last Sunday, and it was mentally difficult for us to be knocked out of the Women's Champions League. We knew we had to pick ourselves up today, so we did, and there's nothing but smiles on our faces."
Eva Gaetino
"I only arrived three months ago, and to win a trophy so quickly is just amazing! It's thanks to a great team, and I'm really happy. It was a tough battle against a good team, and I'm very proud of the girls."
