Jade Le Guilly: "I'm proud to wear this shirt"

The Paris Saint-Germain home-grown defender has extended her contract with her childhood club. Here, she talks about her delight at continuing with the capital club.

Jade, you've just extended your contract with Paris Saint-Germain. How do you feel?

"It's great. When I signed, I was with my parents and close friends, and it was a big moment. I'm really very happy. I've got Paris in my blood, and I'm proud to wear this shirt every time."

You have had a long love affair with PSG...

"I've been with Paris Saint-Germain since I was an U13. It's a great thing, and to have played for so many years for the same club that trained me for nearly ten years was a dream. I'm playing in the French championship, the Coupe de France and the Champions League, it's massive. I'm going to keep working to make sure it continues."

What does it mean to you?

"It's a contract extension, so it means that the club has faith in me. And I want to be able to repay that trust on a daily basis, which inevitably means a lot of hard work and investment."

How do you feel within the team?

"I feel very good within the group in terms of my team-mates and the coach. I feel a lot of pride every day, playing alongside such talented players and wearing these colours. I hope to be up to scratch and live up to expectations on the pitch."

What do you think of the PSG Campus?

"It's true that with the new facilities, it's even more motivating. We all want to achieve great things. Everything has been done here to ensure that we're in the best possible conditions, so it's up to us to make it work!"
