Hawa Sangaré joins FC Girondins de Bordeaux

21-year-old French striker Hawa Sangaré has joined FC Girondins de Bordeaux on a permanent transfer.

Born in the town of Villepinte in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, Sangaré joined the capital club in 2015, aged 13, and spent the entirety of her academy years here. She would go on to play for Paris Saint-Germain's U19s for three seasons, winning the Challenge National Élite league title with them in 2019.

The forward made her first-team debut in December 2020, just a few days after signing her first professional contract. She was then loaned out to Dijon FCO and later to Italian side Pomigliano CF.

As a youth international, Sangaré has made five appearances for France's U17s, scoring one goal, as well as featuring twice for her country's U19s.

Paris Saint-Germain would like to wish Hawa all the best for the challenges ahead of her at her new club.
