Gérard Prêcheur is the new women's team manager

Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce the arrival of Gérard Prêcheur as coach of the women's team. The French coach has signed a contract with the club until June 2023, with an additional season as an option.

Gérard Prêcheur began his coaching career in 1988 at Olympique de Valence. After four years with the club from the Drôme, the coach worked for the French Football Federation for 14 years. The former midfielder took on the roles of coach, technical director and head of performance.

In 2014, the 62-year-old coach joined Olympique Lyonnais for three seasons, winning three French championships, three French Cups and two UEFA Women's Champions Leagues. Gérard Prêcheur then flew to China to become Jiangsu's women's team coach. He was voted best coach of the year 2018 with the Nanjing city club, after winning the Chinese Cup and the League Cup.

At Paris Saint-Germain, Gérard Prêcheur will be accompanied by Jocelyn Prêcheur (assistant coach), Guillaume Lemire (goalkeeper coach), Guillaume Denis (fitness coach) and Quentin Bellu (assistant fitness coach).

Gérard Prêcheur : "To be able to join a club as prestigious as Paris Saint-Germain is an exceptional opportunity. I am very honoured to have been chosen to start this new cycle and I thank the Club for their confidence, starting with the President.
