Fabrice Abriel: "We need to control what our opponents do well"
The Paris Saint-Germain manager as well as Elisa De Almeida spoke to PSG TV with two days to go until the derby against Paris FC on Matchday 17 of the Arkema Première Ligue.
Fabrice Abriel:
"The best way to prepare for a match like the one coming up is to win the one before it. That was a semi-final, and we needed to win it so that we would then have the time to build our confidence ahead of an important week, month and end to the season. We've recovered well, and it'll be interesting to assess ourselves at this point in the season.
"We already know our strengths, but we also need to control what our opponents do well. They know how to put teams off their game and how to take advantage of mistakes, and they've got talent, too. It's up to us to control that and to be better than them, especially at home. We've got a 100% win percentage at PSG Campus, and we want to keep that up."
Elisa de almeida:
"We need to be aware that this is a derby with second place at stake. We gained some confidence last weekend with the win away to Saint-Étienne, so we're now focused on Saturday.
"It's up to us to play to our strengths and to work hard in training this week so that we can see how to unbalance our opponents. We primarily need to focus on ourselves and see what we did and didn't do well against Saint-Étienne, but I think that the main thing is to concentrate on what we're capable of doing together."
